Laura Todd and Scott Andron's Wedding at Beaulieu Garden

I must say that Laura Todd and Scott Andron's wedding at Beaulieu Garden this past year was one of the wildest events of the summer. I knew I was going to like Laura when I read her email, letting me know she wanted to hire me to photograph her wedding - "Your work has an elegance and fluidity that sets it apart from other photographers" she kindly said.

Sarah Hyde did her usual perfect hair and makeup magic on the bride, to kick off the day. Besides being very talented at her profession, Sarah is always punctual when it comes to finishing up on time. That is huge for me, because she does not eat up my precious shooting time at the onset.

Any event I do with wedding planner Melissa Panico is a great one. I can't say enough about Melissa. She's as even keel as they come, a very important quality to have if you are in the wedding business. She has excellent taste, which is a skill that does not come easy. You need to constantly hone it, researching new inspirational ideas to share with your clients. Melissa always puts the client's needs first and never lets her ego run the show. She knows how to match the personality with the party and that is what happened with Laura and Scott...

Beaulieu Gardens is a very popular wedding site, and for good reason. The layout is perfect for a wedding. The ceremony is at one end of the grounds and the reception is at the other. This traveling between the two areas seems to add a layer to the day, making it seem longer.

Another fabulous reason to choose Beaulieu is their exclusive caterer, Paula Le Duc Fine Catering. I have been a fan of PLD for years. I shot Paula's daughter's wedding awhile back, which was such an honor. Paula Le Duc Fine Catering never disappoints. Their motto "Perfect will be just fine" pretty much sums up their approach to everything.

Are you loving the photo booth situation? Look how much fun a little photo booth, combined with a little liquor, can provide.

The clincher for the evening was the band, Pop Rocks. The 80's was an embarrassingly appealing decade for music and Pop Rocks ripped through the highlights of my high school years, all night long. It took me several weeks to get "Round and Round" by Ratt out of my head. I would seriously consider having a huge blow out party for no reason but to hire this band. And to feather my hair again.

The lovely cake was done by I Dream of Cake and I do, almost any kind.

In fact, I have never met a cake I didn't like.

Hello, I love the bride's wedding dress! I would love something exactly like it. Where did you find it? I am kind of lost as to where to start looking for a wedding dress.
